One connection - many Ethernet Private
Lines
We also make use of Carrier Ethernet as an
elegant and simple way to separate your total available capacity
into data streams for different uses in the form of Ethernet
Private Lines (EPL).
For example you can use a fixed part of the capacity for real-time
applications - such as IP telephony - which is then not mixed with
other data streams. The rest of the capacity you are then free to
use for other purposes. Traffic is split at the hardware level on
your CPE (Customer Premises Equipment).
