The Internet is still growing exponentially, and the world is
about to run out of IP addresses. This is a serious problem that
could impact the global economy and society as a whole. A growing
number of stakeholders - including many governments and the EU -
want a swift transition to IPv6 which, among a number of technical
advantages, offers a practically infinite number of IP addresses.
Therefore, there is little doubt that IPv6 is the future of the
Internet. But what is IPv6, and what challenges does to the next
generation of the Internet face?
At GlobalConnect, we already support IPv6 throughout our
network, and we have several customers who appreciate this. If you
want more information about IPv6, we have drafted a White Paper
which covers the subject comprehensively in an easily accessible
way.
